TouchPlay — Privacy Policy

Santosh Durai built the TouchPlay app as a free app. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page informs visitors about policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when using TouchPlay.

By using TouchPlay, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What TouchPlay Does

TouchPlay turns your Android phone into a wireless game controller for your PC. It communicates directly with the TouchPlay server software running on your computer over your local Wi-Fi network or via USB. No data is sent to any cloud service, remote server, or third party.

Information We Collect

TouchPlay collects the minimum necessary to function:

• Device name — your phone's name is sent to the PC server to label your controller slot. Never stored beyond the current session.
• Device ID (UUID) — a randomly generated identifier stored only on your device. Allows the server to reconnect you to your previous controller slot. Never leaves your local network.
• Controller input — button presses, stick movements, and trigger values sent in real time to your PC. Not logged or stored anywhere.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email address, or account information
• No location data
• No camera or microphone access
• No contacts or files
• No usage analytics or crash reporting sent externally
• No advertising identifiers

Local Network & Security

TouchPlay communicates with your PC over your local Wi-Fi or USB connection. This traffic is not encrypted. Only use TouchPlay on a private, trusted network — not on public Wi-Fi. We are not responsible for any data interception on networks you choose to use.

Permissions Used

• INTERNET — required to communicate with the PC server over Wi-Fi.
• VIBRATE — used to rumble your phone when the game sends controller vibration feedback.
• WAKE_LOCK — keeps the screen active while playing so the controller does not disconnect.
• CAMERA — used only if you scan a QR code to connect. No images are stored or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

TouchPlay does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks. The only external dependency is Google Play Services, provided by the Android platform.

Children's Privacy

TouchPlay does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
